For part two in a three-part partnership, the Tubman African American Museum and Curlee Raven Holton present “A Visit to My House: A Private and Public Narrative,” an exhibit of the artist’s work.

“ ‘A Visit to My House’ is a sample of Holton’s work over the last 30 years,” said Jeffrey Bruce, the Tubman’s director of exhibitions. “It features a combination of works that reference his personal history and life and also social issues in America over the last 30 years from both public and personal perspectives.”

The exhibition features works executed in a variety of media, mostly prints but some paintings, Bruce added, and rather than Bruce choosing the pieces to show, as he typically does, the pieces for “A Visit to My House” were chosen by Holton. Collapse
